Tea Leaf Green
There's a very cool local band called TEA LEAF GREEN. They're starting to make a name for themselves and deservedly so. They're the first young band I've heard in a while that gave me hope that there is a future for Rock and Roll. On May 19th we're going to film a concert at the Fox Theatre in Colorado as part of the Tea Leaf Green film I'm making. I see the film as a cross between the GRATEFUL DEAD MOVIE and KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE AMUSEMENT PARK...or a hybrid of THE LAST WALTZ and the Sex Pistols THE FILTH AND THE FURY. Somewhere in that space between Shakespearean tragedy and theater of the absurd. It's great to be working with these guys. My desire going into the film is to capture all the things I always wished were in the great Rock and Roll documentaries I've grown up watching.
